February 12th 2019:
Dr. Leila Ismailova, a valued member of the AZSWU Advisory Council and a professor at the University of Chicago, reported on projects in Azerbaijan during a live broadcast at the University of Washington.
March 15th 2019:
As a part of the Azerbaijani Social Work Society, we actively celebrated International Social Work Day on March 15 with a unique approach—a “living library.” The event featured eight local and foreign experts who took on the role of a “book” in the live library.

September 27th 2019:
From September 6-8, 2019, the prestigious annual meeting of the International Federation of Social Workers took place in Vienna, Austria. The gathering saw significant participation from representatives of 23 countries among the 39 member nations. Azerbaijan was actively engaged through the attendance of the Azerbaijani Social Work Public Union, with representation by Amalya Sezgin, a member and co-founder of the Governing Body.
October 7th 2019:
On this day, Cologne Aliyeva, the Executive Director of the Azerbaijani Social Work Society, delivered a lecture titled “The State of Social Work in Azerbaijan” to several first-year students at the University of Azerbaijan.

December 4th-6th 2019:
From December 4-6, 2019, the 11th Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) Annual Assembly took place. This forum, a significant yearly event since 2009, saw our active representation from the Azerbaijani Social Work Society by Ms. Sabina Rustamova-Aliyeva.
